[ This was just a minor setback. Nothing major. He just happened to be in what looked like the Chao Lobby... Except instead of entrances into each garden, there were just multiple ~~goal~~ rings.

No biggie.

It's not like the entire world was at stake or anything.

Zipping impatiently to each ring and back again, Sonic's expression was one of confusion and irritation. Sure, he did just blow up the Eclipse Cannon, but things weren't over yet! What if that Egghead had another plan up his sleeve? Just beating Shadow wouldn't be enough. ]

Come on, one of these has gotta be the way back... I didn't even pick up a Chao Key! If I don't get back soon, Eggman might be working on some other dumb plan! I gotta regroup with Tails and Amy!

Aside from Eggman's usual schemes and having an alien invasion that almost made all of us alien food, not that much.

Alien invasion!? What??

Some aliens called the Black Arms invaded a year from your time. It was really tough and we almost lost, but Shadow was able to defeat their leader Black Doom and save all of us with the Chaos Emeralds.

Wait, wait, wait a sec, hold up...

Shadow saved us? Shadow? You mean that fake hedgehog who's impersonating me?

[Oh whoops. He forgot about that.] Yep, same one. He's not so bad once he turns around when we needed it.

That guy? So what, he finally realizes he's no match for me, huh?

No, he had a change of heart and helped save the world by preventing the Arc from crashing into the Earth.

Unfortunately. Professor Gerald programmed the arc to crash into the earth after G.U.N shut the Arc down and arrested him.

Not really. I've traveled to other worlds a few things before and had to deal with weirdness, but nothing about time travel.

Well not exactly. I've seen a small clip of the future once, but it wasn't that far in the future. It's a long story.

... huh? You saw the future? [ Then again, he was just told the future, so... ]

Yeah. Just a small piece and it wasn't the distant future either. The community I'm connected with can be like that.
