Midget in a hazmat
[No, really, there is what looks like a midget in a hazmat suit, with a little note pad in its hands. It stops after several steps, looking around the hub, confused. This...did not look like where they were just three seconds ago. Not even close. Too bright...and...flying rings? The circus? Or...
Also said hazmat suit is covered in smelly gunk, but don't let that deter you.]
((OOC: Check her journal. I have no shame.))

...The fur's the reason I am a sewage worker.
[Slight hint of bitterness in her tone.]

…now that hardly makes sense at all.

[Her teachers, her classmates, her co-workers, her employees. Those people who told her she couldn't go see a movie or enter a restaurant or play on the same playgrounds as all the other kids. Almost everyone.]

[He'd sure know all about that, if not for entirely sympathetic reasons.]
–they strike out at them. You're no different from anyone else.

[He claps her on the shoulder, though it's a bit of an effort, given the immense difference in height.]
Keep a stiff upper lip. Someday, people will come to their senses and see you for what you really are—just another human being.

[If not, there's always the surgery...if she could ever get the money for it.]

And they seem somewhat unbalanced, or perhaps delusional. Would you believe that I have been accused of actually being a mad scientist since I found myself here?
[He shrugs, an exaggerated motion. Everything about the man is exaggerated.]
I would try not to take what they have to say at face value, but that's just me.

[Huh. Well, just became someone had an odd name didn't mean they actually were odd. She totally understood where he was coming from, especially since she was always accused of being a freak, a monster. But she knew she wasn't. And besides that, the doctor was treating her so respectfully. How could he be a mad scientist? He didn't act like the ones in the movies and books!
Though, how did they look like her...oh well. She'd figure it out eventually, right?]Of course, I'll make sure to keep that in mind if I do see anyone who looks like me.

[No, he hadn't. Not yet, anyway. He offers a sweeping bow to her.]
An immense pleasure meeting you, Ms. Evergreen. I hope that if you find yourself in any difficulty, you won't hesitate to request my assistance. But in the meanwhile, I really must return to exploring this place and perhaps finding us both a way back home.
[A subtle and untrue implication that they were from the same place, but not technically a lie either. With that, he proceeds to wander off in a random direction, and right before her eyes, hops through a ring and vanishes.]

Wow...
